College of Electronic and Electrical Engineering

2024-07-15

College of Electronic and Electrical Engineering has three undergraduate majors: Electronic Information Engineering (National First-class Undergraduate Major Construction Point), Electrical Engineering and Automation (Provincial first-class Undergraduate Major Construction Point), and Microelectronics Science and Engineering. It also has a masters degree in Electronic Science and Technology, a professional masters degree authorization point in Electronic Information, and a key discipline of Henan Province in Electronic Science and Technology. It has the Electromagnetic Wave Academician Workstation of Henan Province, the Key Laboratory of Integrated Application of Photoelectric Sensing of Henan Province, and the Engineering Research Center of Additive Intelligent Manufacturing of Henan Province.

The college has three research directions: photoelectric sensing and information processing, radio-wave propagation and detection technology, signal processing and intelligent control. Surrounding the economic development and strategic needs of the Central Plains region, it focuses on the research of terrestrial and space wireless communication, multi-physical electromagnetic wave detection, integrated application of photoelectric sensing, wireless power transmission, etc.

In the past years, the college has undertaken 11 projects of National Natural Science Foundation, including 1 instrument development project, 1 sub project of the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 13 horizontal projects (3 projects above 1 million yuan). It has also won 13 other awards, including provincial teaching achievement first prize, Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and provincial Natural Science Award, etc.; it has been granted 78 invention patents, 23 of which have been transferred and transformed.

The college has 58 staff members, including 1 double-appointed academician, 17 associate professors and professors, and 36 doctors. Among them, there are 3 doctoral supervisors and 33 master supervisors; there is 1 famous teacher of Henan Province, 1 excellent teacher of Henan Province, and 1 academic and technical leader of the Education Department of Henan Province. Additionally, the college has 4 provincial classic courses and online courses, and the textbook Basic Experiments of Electronic Technology is a national planning textbook.

The “Electromagnetic Technology and Application” team mainly engages in the research of wireless power transmission technology and signal detection and sensing technology. Relying on the disciplinary platforms such as “Henan Province Electromagnetic Wave Engineering Academician Workstation” and “Henan Province Optoelectronic Sensing Integrated Application Key Laboratory”, the team currently has 2 professors, 3 associate professors, 1 academic and technical leader of the Henan Provincial Department of Education, 1 scientific and technological innovation talent of provincial universities, 1 winner of the provincial excellent youth fund, and 1 young top-notch talent of Plain Scholar of Henan Normal University.

The research directions of the team include: 1) Intelligent sensing and instruments in industrial processes; 2) Bio-information sensing and imaging; 3) Wireless charging technology; 4) Operation control and optimization of the power system. Focusing on the relevant research, the team has obtained 5 projects of National Natural Science Fund of China, more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level projects, participated in 1 national key research and development planned project, and published more than 100 SCI and EI retrieved papers in the mainstream academic journals relating to electronics and electrical engineering such as IEEE TIE, IEEE TIM, IEEE TCI, and IEEE TAP. It owns more than 60 national invention patents, and has realized 7 technology transfers. The team has independently developed resistance tomography imaging system and wireless charging platform, etc., which has been successfully applied in multiple institutions such as the No. 22 Research Institute of CETC. The team also undertakes a research project of the State Grid, which has achieved good social and economic benefits.

The team hopes to carry out international cooperative research, with the requirements as follows:

1. Research fields: multimodal process tomography imaging, bio-information sensing and imaging, wireless charging technology.

2. Have relevant work experience and research ability in the above fields and have achieved good research results.

We look forward to collaborating with international teams with similar research interests and capabilities to jointly explore the unknown and promote the progress of scientific research.
