The 9th World Chinese Arts Education Symposium will be co-sponsored by the World Chinese Arts Education Association, Henan University, Henan Normal University and Beijing Smart Education Group. The theme of the conference is: Innovation, Synthesis and Ecology: Arts Education Reform in the Age of AI. The Symposium will be held from November 16 to 23, 2024.It includes the following three forums: Forum on Higher Arts EducationHenan University (November 16-17), Forum on Basic Arts Education Henan Normal University (November 19-20) and Forum on Social Aesthetic EducationBeijing Smart Education Group (November 22-23), which will be held respectively at Minglun Campus of Henan University in Kaifeng city Henan province, Henan Normal Universityin Xinxiang City Henan province and the camp of Beijing Smart Education Group in Beijing.
We will invite arts education experts and scholars from the Chinese mainland, Europe, America, Southeast Asia, and other countries, as well as Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions of China, to participate in this symposium. Through keynote speeches, paper presentations, summit forums, youth forums, cases of characteristic arts teaching, and achievements exhibitions of arts education, the symposium will discuss the development trends of basic arts education in the age of AI from different perspectives, to share the innovative ideas and practical achievements of basic arts education in different countries and regions, and promote common development of the future-oriented basic arts education in China and the world.
To ensure the high academic standards of the symposium, Forum on Basic Arts Education Henan Normal University (HNU) is now calling for excellent arts education papers from Chinese arts educators worldwide. The authors of selected papers will be invited to attend this international forum. Since the forum focuses on basic arts education, the call is open to arts teachers in colleges and universities, arts teachers in basic education, arts instructors and researchers, arts education researchers, and others. 1.Paper Requirements:
The theme of the Symposium isInnovation, Synthesis and Ecology: Arts Education Reform in the Age of AI and there are three forums. Henan Normal University will host the Forum on Basic Arts Education. Participants may choose their research directions and write papers based on your expertise, achievements, themes and related topics of the above-mentioned forums. The papers is expected to be about 5,000 words. Please submit your paper to the email: hnsdmsxy2024@163.com by September 20, 2024. The file name should follow the format of “Author’s Name-Paper Title-Country/Region-Workplace-Contact Information.” Submissions must be in Word format and include a cover page, title, author, abstract, keywords, main body, notes, and references. All submissions will be reviewed by the academic board of the organizing committee. Papers submitted after September 20 will not be counted. Approved papers will be published in Innovation, Synthesis and Ecology:Art Education Reform in the Age of AI (Proceedings of Forum on Basic Art Education of the 9th World Chinese Arts Education Symposium).
2.The materials submitted by applicants must not be false, and if the information submitted are found to be inconsistent with the actual situation, the qualification for publication will be canceled.

The World Chinese Arts Education Association
The Cross-Strait Art Education Association was founded by the sector of Chinese arts education in 1998, which developed a platform for communication and exchange among art education researchers from both sides of the Strait and Southeast Asia. This initiative aims to enhance the exchange and cooperation in arts education across the Strait, share research achievements in art education, and promote the development of arts education.
At the 6th the Cross-Strait Art Education Association Symposium, a specialist from Malaysia suggested changing the association’s name to “The World Chinese Arts Education Association (WCAEA)”, which received positive responses from members of the organizing committee.The World Chinese Arts Education Symposium is held every two years, providing a larger exchange platform for Chinese art education researchers worldwide,further expanding the international influence of China’s art education.
